For schools that do not use a 50-50 split, for standard payment- if there is an ability to give the total tuition, and have it split at the certain percentage. Some schools uses a 67%-33% tuition split, etc- it will allow the tuition amount to become automatically generated.
There needs to be a manual input not standard. I have one that is 50/50, 67/33, and a 64.2/35.8% split. Yes, you saw that right 64.2% and 35.8%.
also, the child shouldn't be counted as two students ---only one student
In Blackbaud's student billing, you could assign the percentages per any divorce decree and every time a charge was added to the students record, it would be automatically split up based on the percentage and nothing more was to be done. Now with our manual system (aka Smart Tuition) you have to remember for every parent that is split, then do the math, then click about 5 times into one account, then go into the other account and click 5 more times just to get one charge in. This system is not user friendly or efficient, it's very manual and time consuming.
