Reporting in Smart Tuition
The Excel formatting on Reports generated by Smart Tuition requires numerous edits to be able to work with the report. For example, there are merged cells, empty columns and recurring row headers that interfere with column or row formulas. A screen shot with these examples is attached.
Recommendations:
Eliminate merged cells
Eliminate Column Heads every 50-60 lines. Users can freeze Top Row if they should wish to use this feature. Then, creating formulas would be much easier to use without having to manually delete the inserted rows now.
Eliminate spacer columns
Utilize a separate column for student first name and student last name to make sorting easier to use. Currently, an empty column needs to be inserted and the student name split to achieve the separation.
