Allowing us to authorize pre-filled applications

I have two families coming in for 2022-23 school year who have a senior that is graduating and an incoming 9th grader. With the current system, it doesn't allow these to have a pre-filled application. I think it would be great if we could check a box to allow the school to add pre-filled applications for these families.

Hi Rebecca - I see what you are saying now, thank you! At this time I do not see the bandwidth on our team over the next year to take this on. I think its a great idea but I don't see it being viable from a resource standpoint. Please continue to add ideas as they come. Thanks! Aaron

Hi Aaron- Thanks for responding back to me. I know they still claim them as a dependent. That's not what I was after. I wish that we would be the ones to archive a family (Financial Mgmt) once a student graduates. We had several families where the children are spaced far enough that Blackbaud Financial Aid assumes the family is done submitting applications becaus their child graduated not realizing they had an incoming 9th grader. Thus not creating a prepopulated application for the following year. Making the families start from scratch. Or as I suggested in my first comment that we could check a box stating we'd like the family to add to the pre-filled applications. Does that make sense? Thanks.

    Hi Rebecca,

Thanks for submitting your idea. I would like to clarify that if a family logs in with the same email they used the prior year, even if one student is outgoing and they have new incoming one, it should still recognize them as a returning family. They should still include the outgoing senior as a dependent on the app, and indicate where they are going to college, or if they are not in school. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I misread your comment.

    Thanks!
